Speaker calls PM vote on Centre Party leader
The speaker of the Swedish Parliament, Andreas Norlén, announced today he will put the Centre Party leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist to a vote in parliament to become the next Swedish Prime Minister. This despite Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist not wanting to become Prime Minister herself and wanting to see a centrist government led by the Social Democrats instead. The vote on 3rd November will be the second vote to form a government since the elections on the 13 September. There can be four such votes in parliament before a new election is automatically called if they all fail.
