Moderates close in on Social Democrats as Sweden’s largest party in new poll
The Social Democrats' position as Sweden's biggest party would be threatened if elections were held today, according to a new poll from Indikator Opinion for Swedish Radio News. The Social Democrats get 27 percent, which is down slightly compared to the election results from September. At the same the Moderates reach 26.3 percent, which is an increase of 6.5 percentage points since the elections. Tobias Baudin, party secretary for the Social Democrats, says he thinks the electorate is impatient to get a government, and that all parties have to take responsibility for the election result.
