Su-57 Fighter Reportedly Burned Down at Russia’s Akhtubinsk Airfield
A Russian Su-57 fifth-generation stealth fighter reportedly burned down at the Astrakhan region’s Akhtubinsk airfield on Oct. 29 during an engine start-up incident. Russian officials have not confirmed the claim, and Kyiv Post is unable to independently verify the report. If the report is true, it would be the fourth Su-57 lost or damaged this year, after a Ukrainian drone strike in April and a crash near Moscow in July.
