Paragvajski senat je v petek po ustavni obtožbi s položaja formalno odstavil predsednika Santiaga Peno, ki je zaradi bančnega škandala pred dnevi napovedal odstop. Takoj po odstavitvi ga je policija aretirala in poslala v hišni pripor. Kot novi predsednik države je že prisegel dosedanji podpredsednik Pedro Alliana, poročajo tuje tiskovne agencije.
