By 'readjusting the pontificate,' I was referring to the upcoming trip says Parolin
(ANSA) - ROME, 16 OTT - When Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin spoke Thursday of Pope Leo XIV "readjusting the pontificate," he was referring solely to papal trips—"for instance, at least with regard to this next trip" to Latin America, Parolin clarified Friday. Parolin's words had been taken to mean that Leo might rejig his duties in line with his cancer diagnosis. Parolin also told journalists that he has not yet seen the pope since he was admitted to hospital Monday for an operation to remove a cancerous node from his right lung Tuesday. (ANSA).
