A tanker believed to be carrying around 11,000 tonnes of sunflower oil is drifting off Shabla on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast after its towline broke, the transport ministry said. The Mentor was being towed from the Romanian port of Constanța by the tug Ramazan Bey when the line broke. The tug reported the incident and has been instructed by vessel traffic control services to remain near the tanker. Its crew remains in contact with the authorities.
