Nearly 80% of children in Finland use AI, survey finds
Artificial intelligence has become part of everyday life for children and teenagers in Finland, with 78% of 11–17-year-olds using AI tools, according to a nationwide survey. The findings also show that young people increasingly turn to AI for schoolwork, information and personal conversations. The survey, funded by the Finnish Children's Foundation Itla and digital wellbeing organisation Digirauha, found that 71% of pupils in grades four to six already use artificial intelligence.
How sure are we
Two or more outlets reported this story and its reliability score reached 65%, so WorldPulse marks it verified. That means more than one outlet says so, not that it is proven true.
Who reported it
[Claude] Back to pending: the other outlets reported a different event. Report 2 covers a separate French survey about parents' estimates of children's AI use, not the Finnish nationwide survey in Report 1, and it does not contradict Report 1's figures.
