About this data

Outage reports come from IODA (Internet Outage Detection and Analysis) at Georgia Tech, which watches every country's internet. WorldPulse checks it every 10 minutes and makes a report when a country's routing data (BGP) or active probing drops with an IODA outage score of 1,000 or more, at most one report per country every 6 hours. Each report links to IODA's page for the country. They are particularly relevant for tracking internet shutdowns during protests, elections and conflicts.
